St. Patty's Day 2009

At 3:03pm on March 17,2009 Trayton Cole Mitchell was born. We went into the hospital the night before and they started to thin out my cervix but gave me a sleeping pill since nothing was going to happen until the next morning. At 6am the doctor came in and didn't even turn on the lights and broke my water... Mitch was still sleeping! They started inducing with Pitocin at 9am. I didn't get the epidural right away which was a mistake because I was in lots of pain for almost 2 hours but once I got the epidural life was fabulous! Mitch decided to just wait till the pain was over before he came over to talk to me... I don't blame him- I was mean! At noon I was dialated to a 3 and by 1:30 I was an 8. I started pushing at 2:15 and Tray was born at 3:03. Everything went great and Mitch was a wonderful coach and was so helpful. The doctor even let me reach down once his shoulders were out and pull him out and up onto my chest which was such an amazing experience we were all in tears... Tray included!!
