Half Marathon

WOOHOO I DID IT!!! I ran a half marathon today in Holland Michigan (13.1 miles) and I didn't stop or fall over :) My mom brought Tray for me and he was the cutest ever in his little warm-up outfit with a shirt underneath that said "property of mom". No offense to him but he was the reason I ran it since your body is just never the same after kids and I needed to do something rewarding for myself. I'm so happy I did it even though I wasn't prepared for all the hills. I will remember that the next time when the website says the course is "pretty flat" that it really means lots of little hills with only 2 big hills. So I am a little soar but I trained hard so I feel great. Ray ran a 5k for breast cancer this morning too and did really well and came over to cheer me on when she was done. Here are some pics.... Of course most of them are of T.C. but a few of me running. I was so excited at the end that I did a crazy jump on the clock strip. There is a picture of me and another coaches wife, Heidi, she is the one that asked me to run it with her.

Oh and I made it in 2:24:13. I wasn't going for time and I just wanted to finish but I had an idea of how long it would take me if I kept my pace the whole time and I was only a few minutes off so I was pretty proud.

Now if I could only get Bobo to nap so I can lay down for a bit....... hmmmm

90th percentile range for everything
screamed so hard he turned purple for his shots :(
Doc said developmentally he is way ahead of the game
HE GREW UP SO FAST... AHHH!

TRAYTON COLE MITCHELL WAS BORN 6 MONTHS AGO TODAY!!!

Love you buddy. We are all truly blessed to have you in our lives :)

TEXAS

What a fun trip! For a mom the first plane ride with a 5 month old was probably one of the few times in my life where I was very very nervous. TRAYTON WAS UNBELIEVABLY GREAT! He just slept most of the time and then would wake up full of smiles. YESSS! Mitch and I were sooo proud.

Thursday: got in and let Dave and Prudy love on their grandson. Mitch went to The Big Texan with the team so Ray, Tray, Dave, Prudy and I went to Cracker Barrell- YUM :)
Friday: IHOP for breakfast and then shopping, shopping, shopping. Trayton really started coming around to his grandparents... its amazing how in one day he studied them sooo much. That night my cousin Lance and his boyfriend Chris came into town from Dallas and took Ray and I out and taught us how to line dance. I can honestly say it was the most fun I have ever had on a night out. haha as you can see from the pictures I was totally sober too :) Texans know how to drink!!!
Saturday: Game Day!! We were some proud Laker Fans. As you can see from the pictures Trayton was completely in love with Gram and Gramps Mitchell... he just kept laughing at them and snuggling. Melts your heart! Mitch is an amazing coach and it is soo much fun to watch him and watch the defense kick butt. The Lakers won 37-23.
Sunday: A tough morning since we had to say goodbye to Grandma and Grandpa but we are ready to book some flights for Christmas! 3 and a half months better go by fast.
